in today's society, children in Singapore are also known as the iPad Kids. They are greatly attached to their devices, seeking entertainment and enrichment all from the same device. In addition, they have a day packed with school curriculum and tuition allowing them little time to unleash their creativity. So how might we reimagine how children learn and play by leveraging pockets of time to cultivate their innate sense of creativity through natural materials?

Design show
With Bugbuddies being a Final-Year Project, I've had the privilege of showcasing my work in my school's annual design show.
I designed the presentation boards needed for my showcase.
Through this, I learned the art of bleeding and gained the experience of proofreading my board and my peers' boards as part of the publicity team for design show.
I also designed some collaterals such as my name card and stickers for my showcase.

The PLASTIC Initiative
This project is based around the company Oakley. Considering the business direction of Oakley, Oakley aims move towards a more sustainable business direction. Hence for my project, i decided to do a sustainable initiative that upcycles bottle caps into useful tools for sports. This initiative also aims to promote sustainability to Oakley customers.
The app works as a reward system for Oakley users to promote sustainability as well.
Every bottle cap given garners reward.
User Testing
I did 3 different rounds of user testing to find out what the users liked and did not like. It also allowed me to further expand what the final outcome of the initiative could be.
A Reimagined Sitting Experience
Living in Nostalgia
This project aimed to give demented patients a more inclusive community. This bench was designed to allow human interaction between demented patients and caregivers and also invoke cognitive thinking and sensory touch through the game tiles on the bench. The backing of the bench acts as a simple memory game of coloured tiles where the aim is to turn over all of one colour of the three colours (yellow, blue, and orange).
My project also aims to create a greater awareness and inclusivity for dementia patients in hopes that Singapore would be a safe place for people who suffer from dementia.
Design Journey
I went through 4 rounds of model iterations to get to my final design.

This is a children's dish rack which encourages children to fully reach their capabilities to do their own dishes with dish racks that would help them be more independent. The shape borrowing of a dinosaur was done so as to cater to children of the ages 10 to 12.
The dish rack also runs on a draining system where water is collected at the bottom of the rack and can be taken out to pour the collected water away.
